Drama by Former Child Soldiers

We are thrilled to show you our newest video! This footage was taken on eXile's most recent trip to Congo, where we conducted art and expressive trauma therapy with former child soldiers. When we invited the boys to tell us their stories individually, they decided instead to take all of their stories and turn them into a drama to share with others. What you are about to see is a dramatic representation written and performed by twenty-four former child soldiers of their abduction, training, and rescue.

We would like to thank everyone who helped to make our work with these children possible. Without your generosity, we would not be able to travel to Congo and East Africa to work with these special children. Your support is critical, and we hope that watching these boys perform their drama is proof to you of the lasting change you have helped to make in their lives.

See their hearts. Hear their dreams for peace. Watch them come to life as they draw their heartaches, hopes, and dreams.
These are the future peacemakers of Congo. They would be thrilled to know that you are watching their drama. Enthused to hear that their stories are being shared. And so, we also ask that you pass this video along to others. Let their stories be told. Let their voices be heard. There is so much that we can learn from their beautiful hearts!
